Rock Music

Rock Music is dead, long live rock music!
Rock music has been dead for 50 years now, but still rock music exists. why?
Rock music has permeated our culture in a way that seemed impossible back in the day when Rock Music stood for juvenile delinquency, youth culture, and eventually revolution. but the revolution was televised. Rock music was commercialized. no more did rock music stand for counter-culture but rather, the mainstream. rock music became music to wash your dishes to. ever since Bill Haley stole the rock from the blacks, rock has been in steady decline. one might argue that in the 80s, rap was the new rock. but alas, that got stolen too. looking at the official rock music charts now, it has nothing to do with what us oldies would call rock music.

Rock music is changing

Rock music has changed from the old rock and roll style to what it is today, not unlike what happened to rnb, or rythm and blues. what used to be, is no more. and when you ask someone if they like rock music, they will respond, but the responce may need furher articulation as the term has taken on a mauch wider meaning. Rock music is an umbrella term for all music with electric guitars, or anything distorted insofar as to render the term rock music obsolete.
